It's a new school year and that means new students and parents! It is important to continue publicizing your school website to these new students and parents so they know what is available online through your website.
You may want to consider some of the following ideas:
Newsletter - Make your website a feature in your first print newsletter. Tell students and parents about the news, events, homework, extracurricular activities, photos and videos they can see online.
Assembly - Demonstrate what is on your website at the first school assembly. Hook up a projector and quickly run through how to get to the website and how to access certain features like the calendar, extracurricular activities and homework.
Hold a Contest - Try holding a contest that requires students to visit your website to participate.
In the Classroom - Make sure your website address is prominently displayed in the classroom as a constant reminder to students that your information will be available online.
Contact the News - Talk to your local newspaper and have them write a story about your school or division. Make sure they list the website address and the features that are available on your site.
